There are times of the year (Christmas being one of them) where you could use a little extra cash. But what if you don’t want to get an extra job or work any more hours? Here are some quick ways you can make a little extra money.
Sell Items You No Longer Need or Use
This one is simple. If you own anything that you don’t use, consider selling it. This might include clothes, books, shoes etc. Whatever it is, you will likely be able to find someone who wants to buy it from you. You can try listing and selling on eBay. eBay is the most popular auction site for a reason, you can list and monitor the sale of your items easily. eBay does charge a commission for your final sale and (so do PayPal when the money is transferred to your account) but you will still be able to make a profit. Another option is to join local selling groups on Facebook. This avoids a lot of the fees involved with PayPal but is less secure and harder for people to find your items. Or you can get creative, maybe you might have a friend or know someone you can sell your items to. Deciding what to sell is the first step, and it is a great way to make some extra cash.
Surveys are not going to make you rich. However, you can make a little bit of extra money from them, and they won’t take up a lot of your time. Most can be done from your laptop or tablet while you are watching TV and take as little as 5 minutes. A lot of sites also offer payment in vouchers as well as direct payments, so you have a few options. You also have the freedom to borrow money, but this option isn’t always ideal. The goal is to save money so do your research and see if surveys can be a good idea for you. We all know a bit extra a month can make a difference to your budget.
Freelance work can help you boost your income. You can use sites like People Per Hour or Freelancer to find clients. Freelance work allows you to work the hours you want and you get to only pick projects that you want to do. It can provide some extra money, you can gain more experience and who knows you can even turn it into your full-time job one day!
